Erika joined Orlando Heart and Vascular Institute in 2021, following two years of service as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in breast health. With seven years of prior experience as a Registered Nurse in cardiovascular care, Erika brings a wealth of expertise to our team. She is a staunch advocate for cardiovascular health, early detection, and prevention.
As a member of the AANP American Association of Nurse Practioners, Erika actively contributes to initiatives promoting healthcare equity and access. Originally from the Dominican Republic, she is bilingual in Spanish and English, facilitating effective communication with diverse patient populations. Erika’s dedication extends beyond her professional endeavors; she served eight years in the US Army, cultivating invaluable leadership and teamwork skills.
In her leisure time, Erika enjoys traveling and spending quality moments with her family and close friends. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Purdue Global University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Kaplan University.
